Advertising/Product Reviews

I have been receiving an increasing number of requests for advertising and product reviews so I have decided to put all of the information you all want right here in one place, to save people having to ask the same questions over and over again.

At this stage Searching for Sanity does not include paid advertisements. This does not look to be changing any time soon. I have no interest in monetising this website, as that was never what this place was about. So if you have come here hoping you could purchase ad space from me, I regret to inform you that this will never happen. However do not fret, because there are still options available to you. I do shout outs for small companies on my Facebook page free of charge, provided that the business you are looking to advertise is family friendly. I prefer to do these shout outs for smaller businesses with little to no budget for advertising, to help them get their name out while the coffers are still empty, so priority will be given to start up or small businesses who cannot afford to pay big bucks to get a pretty banner ad on another website.

I am happy to review products and apps for businesses, however the following rules must apply:-

  1. The product or app you wish me to review must be child related and/or family friendly
  2. The product or app you wish me to review must not be illegal for people under the age of 18 (or 21 in the countries where this is the law) to use. That means no gambling websites, no alcohol or cigarette related products will ever be reviewed on this website.
  3. I reserve the right to give an honest and unbiased review of your app or product, and my kind words and opinion cannot be bought.
  4. I believe in complete transparency, therefore any product or app reviews I give will always state whether I have given a review of this product in return for free samples etc. I will not pretend that I have just stumbled upon your product or app and feel that this is something the world needs to see NOW!!!
  5. If you do not appreciate humour in your product reviews, then this is not the place for you. I look for the funny in every situation I can, and this does not change when I am reviewing products or apps for people, If you wish for your piece to be sombre and dry, perhaps you need to look elsewhere.
If you are willing to accept these terms, then please head on over to my contact me page and drop me a line today.

Update 1/5/16: I am gettting an increasing amount of requests asking me to feature infographics on my website. A lot of these miss the mark of the content I try to produce here, and as such are not appropriate for me to use. Any requests to include an infographic in my website from now on will be politely declined.
